Our Lady Morning Star Praesidium (to work with homeless men)
Our Lady Morning Star Praesidium was established on Christmas Day 1938.
The purpose of Morning Star praesidium is to help members deepen their faith, their relationship with God and their devotion on Our Blessed Lady.
The members show their faith commitment by their service in Morning Star Hostel, a hostel for men with homeless issues accompanied often by mental health and addiction issues.
The commitment is that you attend a weekly meeting of the praesidium on Thursday evenings for 90 minutes where The Rosary and Legion prayers are recited and discussion takes place on the work of the praesidium. The member also chooses a duty any night of the week where they speak to the guests of the hostel and serve teas and offer companionship and witness to the faith.
Meeting Start Time: 7.30pm
Day of the Week: Thursday
If you are interested in joining the praesidium, please send a message on 075 9612 8437, and the president will contact you.
