The governing body of the Legion of Mary worldwide
The Concilium Legionis Mariae is the supreme governing body of the Legion of Mary, based at De Montfort House, Morning Star Avenue, Brunswick Street, Dublin 7, Ireland.
Established by the founder Frank Duff, the Concilium oversees the Legion's worldwide operations across approximately 170 countries. It provides guidance, resources, and governance for all levels of the Legion hierarchy, from individual praesidia to senatus councils. The Concilium meets weekly in Dublin to discuss matters affecting the Legion across the globe.
All Legion councils ultimately report to the Concilium, which ensures that the spirit and practice of the Legion remain faithful to the vision laid out in the Legion Handbook. The Concilium also coordinates with the Holy See and supports the causes for beatification of notable legionaries.
Fr. Paul Churchill, Concilium Spiritual Director, invokes Our Lady as Queen of Peace, asking her intercession amid the world's conflicts — true peace coming from union with God's will.
