By the Immaculata Comitium · Diocese of Down & Connor
The world’s first English-language podcast dedicated entirely to the Legion of Mary — and you can help us launch it.
For over a century, the Legion of Mary has carried the light of Christ to every corner of the world — quietly, humbly, faithfully. Now, for the first time, that story will be told in English.
The Immaculata Comitium — Diocese of Down and Connor — is preparing to launch the first-ever English-language Legion of Mary podcast. While the Legion spans 170 countries and counts over 10 million members, no dedicated English-language video apostolate has ever been produced for it.
That changes now.
0 English-language Legion of Mary podcasts in existence todayLegio Mariae Podcast will change that. This is not just a local project by a small comitium in Belfast — it is a gift to the universal Church, and a first step towards giving the English-speaking world its rightful access to one of the greatest lay apostolates in the history of Catholicism.
Real stories from legionaries in Belfast and around the world — conversion journeys, apostolate experiences, and the quiet miracles of Our Lady’s intercession.
Deep, accessible talks on the Legion Handbook — the foundational text every legionary carries but few have explored in depth. Brought to life through conversation.
Guests from praesidia across the English-speaking world — Ireland, the UK, the US, Australia, and beyond — sharing how the Legion transforms lives in their communities.
Talks on true devotion to Our Lady, Marian consecration, the Tessera prayers, and how the Marian spirit is the engine of the Legion’s apostolate.
Exploring the lives of Frank Duff, Edel Quinn, Fr Patrick Peyton, and others connected to the Legion — models of holiness for our time.
Answering the questions people have about joining the Legion, the weekly meeting structure, the auxiliary membership, and the spiritual life of a legionary.
The Legion of Mary is one of the most extraordinary organisations in the history of the Church. Founded in Dublin in 1921 by the Servant of God Frank Duff, it has grown into the largest apostolic organisation of the faithful in the Catholic Church — yet remains largely unknown to the general Catholic public.
In an age when podcasts have become the primary medium for Catholic formation and evangelisation — with shows like Pints with Aquinas, The Word on Fire Show, and Formed reaching millions — the Legion has no English-language voice of its own.
This is a historic opportunity. The Legio Mariae Podcast will be the first. We pray Our Lady will provide through the generosity of those who love her Legion.
“Our Lady is our mother, and we never lose confidence in our mother.”Frank Duff — Founder of the Legion of Mary
We need £1,000 to produce, record, edit, and launch the first season of the Legio Mariae Podcast. This covers recording equipment, audio editing, hosting, and production for the first run of episodes. With your support, we can give voice to this great apostolate and reach English-speaking Catholics across the world.
Can’t contribute financially? Offer a prayer for this intention — Our Lady will not be outdone in generosity.
