About This Praesidium

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Praesidium is based in Kilkeel in the Upper Mourne Parish. The praesidium meets every Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the Curate's House on Newry Road.

Members are encouraged to participate in parish work while strengthening their Catholic faith and sharing the Gospel message. The praesidium welcomes all interested individuals to join their weekly gatherings.

Membership of the Legion of Mary is a great way to develop and strengthen your Catholic Faith and the desire to share the Good News with everyone, with the hope of bringing everyone back to the Sacraments.

Activities & Apostolic Works

• Distributing baptism packs to families with new babies
• Fatima Statue visitation promoting the family Rosary
• Participating in the GIFT Programme
• Leading the Stations of the Cross during Lent
• Visitation of sick persons in local nursing homes
