About This Praesidium

Our Lady Queen of Families Praesidium meets at St Joseph's Church in Glenavy every Thursday evening. The group engages in home-to-home visitation during which time they give out Mass and Confession times leaflets.

Members promote the Divine Mercy image and Miraculous Medals, offering these items freely to households. They explain the devotions, and encourage parishioners to receive the sacraments, with an emphasis on the importance of being in a state of grace through the sacrament of reconciliation (Confession), and receiving Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist at Mass.
